Overall I am happy with the work that was done on my house (siding, picture window, and front steps). However, there are some concerns I feel are worth addressing.

1. Communication around scheduling was very poor, at times leaving me wondering if I had been scammed after paying my deposit, until building materials showed up at my house (with no heads up, that is). It took me sending multiple emails to get an answer on when the work would be started, and I was given two different dates by two different people. Our work was rescheduled multiple times, and one of those times was blamed on a language barrier between the crew and the contractor, which was really unfortunate.

2. We were told that a dumpster would be dropped off before the work was started. The dumpster didn’t come until after the work was nearly finished. So all of the scrap material, rubble, etc. was left in a giant pile on the front yard for three days. This was very unsightly and a significant safety concern in our neighborhood. I am still cleaning up pieces of it in my yard months later.

3. I had removed my smart doorbell in advance of the work being done, and I placed caps on the wires for safety. The crew knocked the caps off of the wires, and then put trim around the front door right on top of the live wires with no caps on them. This kind of carelessness could have burned my house down.

This experience taught me a lot about what to look for when hiring a contracting company, and what things must be communicated and specified. Again, I am overall happy with the work that was done (the house looks great), but I would not hire this company again in the future.

I needed a complete roof replacement and CL Exterior give me a very reasonable estimate for the complete job. The job was completed in one day, clean up was great and the workers were very professional and worked hard all day. I highly recommend CL Exteriors for any roofing project. I love the looks of my roof and very happy.

We are very satisfied and happy with CL Exteriors. They promptly arrived after we contacted them, understood our needs, and provided a quote within days. They worked around our schedule and put us on the calendar. They did a great job residing a tricky portion of our house, finding and fixing rot as they went. The crew took us up multiple times to show what they found and described how they were going to make it better than it ever was. We had great communication throughout and would enthusiastically endorse them to my friends and neighbors.

I’m so happy with CL Exteriors roof replacement! Once I contacted them, a gentleman was here the next day. After a chat he took measurements and emailed me that evening with an estimate.

Once I gave them the okey, within a week supplies showed. In two days they had finished all five porch roofs! They have never looked so nice and even, well sealed!

After they left, I took several walks around and never found a nail! The cleanup was well done.

I’m hoping next year I’ll have CL Exteriors do my garage roof.

The workers were very polite.
